Check out the Discovery Chan's (Discovery Online) clip on "Carrier Fortress at Sea". That was filmed during HS-8's '94 cruise on the Vinson. The film has some great shots of AW's conducting rescues and also a flight in a '60F. I have a recording of the clip.

AIRPORT "77"
Contains footage of HSL-31 aircraft flying Jimmy Stewart out to the Cayuga.  The officer that escorted him to the aircraft was CDR Drex Matthews, who became CO of HSL-35.  This also showed the H-2 is the longest ranged, fastest helo in the world.  They took off from NASNI and in a 2 1/2 hour flight flew to the Bermuda Triangle.
Also included was footage of an S-3 from VS-41.  The Jack Lemmon rescue scene was performed by AD1 Valunga (sp?) one of the aircrew instructors at 31 around 1976/77.

In The Bridges at Toko-Ri the helo shown is if I'm correct a Sikorsky HO3S Navy designation, S-51 civilian designation.  The HU2K-1 was a T-58 single engine that was later designated the UH-2A/B Kaman coffin.

Dive Bomber (1941) Has some excellent shots of NAS North Island from the air. Circa 1942. It looked alot different back then. Want to know the history of North Island? See this link.....  History of North Island from the NASNI home page.
Let us not forget AWCS Tony Dicenso's performance in "The Hunt for Red October"  He was the sensor operator in the H-3.
OOPS! Red October goof list!

Also AWC Don Spaulding's performance as one of the jurors in "A Few Good
Men"  He was the Navy CDR front row right.
